Un ragazzino ruba una password di Xbox Live e viene ricompensato

Microsoft ha ricompensato un ragazzino di 5 anni per aver scoperto una password di Xbox Live. Non è un pesce d’Aprile.

Kristoffer Von Hassel, da San Diego, ha provato a collegarsi ad Xbox Live con l’account di suo padre senza bisogno di una password, ma semplicemente premendo la barra spaziatrice.

Inserendo una password errata sul sito Microsoft apre una finestra dove viene richiesta una seconda password di verifica, e qui il ragazzo ha semplicemente premuto la barra spaziatrice fino a riempire la casella di testo ed è riuscito ad accedere.

“Ero nervoso. Pensavo che l’avrebbe scoperto” ha spiegato Von Hassel a BBC News. Successivamente l’ha rivelato a suo padre che ha contattato Microsoft per spiegare l’accaduto.

La casa di Redmond ha dapprima provveduto a sistemare l’errore con un patch, poi ha ricompensato la famiglia con quattro giochi gratuiti, 30 dollari di credito per Xbox Live e un’abbonamento annuale ad Xbox Live Gold.

Von Hassel è anche nella lista degli individui che hanno aiutato Microsoft a scoprire problemi sulle opzioni di sicurezza nel mese di Marzo 2014.
